This 1954 Mercury Monterey Mild Custom 272 Y Block is sensational. It features on the cover and in Australian Street Rodding magazine No 309.  The rebuilt 272 Y Block V8 engine can run on unleaded fuel, with ceramic coated inlet and exhaust manifolds, a new 500 Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor, a new water pump, radiator, fuel pump, oil pump, electronic distributor, and chrome tappet covers.  The rebuilt Fordomatic transmission has been completed with new wiring upgraded to 12 volts, a new chrome alternator, column auto, new front suspension, new rubber, ball joints, dropped spindles, power rack and pinion steering, and 4 spot disc brakes. 

• The rear airbags are 4 link, and the wheels are 15/6” pursuit rims with fat white wall tyres.
• The body and paint are stripped to bare metal with custom touches, including frenched headlights, an extended engine hood bulge, extended rear flanks, and front guards with Buick portholes.
• The interior has new seat belts, carpet, headliner, recovered seats, door cards, kick panels, and rear parcel shelf. 
• New upholstery is throughout the boot, and a new window rubber kit with tinted glass and new screens is fitted.
• Air conditioning and a heater are included for summer and winter, respectively.
• A retro sound system with an amp and sub under the passenger seat, Dolphin gauges, and an oil, temperature, fuel level, volts, GPS speedo display are also included. 

The vehicle was previously on QLD full registration and is now on non-transferable NSW Classic Modified club registration.
