SUMMARY
- BMW’s M Division, initially established for racing, cemented its reputation with the M635CSi. This model, based on the E24 6-Series, became the definitive performance car of its time, carrying the torch from the earlier M1
- The E24 6-Series also made a name for itself on the Australian racing scene. Driven by the legendary touring car driver Jim Richards in the famous John Player Special car, it proved its performance capabilities and solidified the idea that racing success translates to sales – “Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday.”
